Collaborate with Hello Tractor

Hello Tractor’s Smart Tractor 2.0 (ST2) Enterprise OS is built on a simple principle: enable governments, OEMs, and dealers to generate more value across the equipment lifecycle than any one actor could on their own.

Why ST2

Across Africa, we’ve learned that mechanization only scales when every stakeholder wins. Farmers get timely and affordable services. Operators earn more income and have opportunities for growth. Dealers keep machines running. Financiers’ capital is recovered on time. Governments see real productivity gains and leverage on invested capital.

ST2 is the infrastructure layer for the small ag equipment market — increasing engaged acres, uptime, operator efficiency, and repayment performance so the total pie grows for everyone.

How we collaborate

We work with organizations aligned with ST2:

  • OEMs & dealers — More tractors financed and deployed; faster financing supports faster sales; after-sales and uptime
  • Governments & development programs — Transparent data, outcomes, and productivity from invested capital
  • Banks & financiers — Lower risk and stronger assets through usage-linked lending and repayment
  • Technology partners — Connect advisory, analytics, and field tools to an active network

Financial services

Lending infrastructure for mechanization — underwriting, disbursement, repayments, and portfolio visibility for banks and programs. See the API overview.

Payments

Automated repayments, billing, and collections across the network. Payment sync patterns are documented in the financial services overview.

For technical teams

Approved collaborators connect systems through our Integration Hub:

Reference program: mechanization financing

Hello Tractor supports funded mechanization programs as a technology partner. A typical collaboration includes:

  1. Loan & repayment data → your reporting systems — Read contracts via Contracts with fields mapped for program reporting
  2. Weekly billing — Invoices and payment requests generated from completed field work (Payment requests)
  3. Payment confirmation — Your systems notify Hello Tractor when payments settle; balances and payment requests update automatically (overview)
  4. Audit trailTransactions and Invoices

How to get access

  1. Reach out — Email the integration team with your organization, goals, and which capabilities you need (financial services, payments, marketplace, or a combination).
  2. Align on scope — We confirm environments, filters, and access permissions together.
  3. Receive credentials and sign in — Approved collaborators can sign in while we share endpoint conventions and security details for your approved scope.
  4. Go live — Follow Quickstart, Authentication, and Telemetry push (when using external trackers).

API access permissions

API keys are issued with least-privilege access. Examples:

PermissionAccess
